Kia ora — I'm Nik, the proud face behind Apex Painting & Roof Care.
Born and bred right here in Tauranga, I’m a hardworking family man who deeply values the place I call home. The photo? That’s me with my amazing wife and son at Mount Maunganui beach where i grew up — a spot that represents everything I care about: family, community, and the beauty of the Bay of Plenty.
Like many Kiwis, i realized at a young age i was more a "hands on" person. I left school at 15 to dive headfirst into the trades, starting my roofing apprenticeship the old-school way — hands-on, rain or shine, learning from the ground up. By 25, after close to a decade of honing my roofing skills, I expanded into painting to expand my skillset. Ten years on, I’ve built Apex Painting & Roof care with one clear goal: to deliver honest, reliable, high-quality painting & roofing repairs & restorations that stand the test of time, look great and more importantly - Do not break your bank.
Whether it’s a full exterior restoration, a revamp of the color scheme in the tired looking kitchen, or small repairs roof repairs that prevent big problems — I treat every project like it’s my own. No shortcuts. No surprises. Just solid, dependable work by someone who genuinely cares.

We had a really bad roof leak that other contractors just couldn't seem to be able to fix. Nik came in and within an hour had found the leak, patched it up, and then came back the next week to do the work to fix it permanently. Very fairly priced compared to other contractors.
